Employees in this role have the responsibility of developing requirements-related processes and creating control systems requirements and for utility-scale energy storage projects. The Control Systems engineer will be able to develop controls logic, implement complex programs, create protocols for site verification, testing, troubleshooting, and certifying all control system project requirements are met.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with equipment suppliers to perform factory integration testing of new hardware designs to validate requirementsDevelop processes for managing common and project-specific control system requirements across a large fleet of power plantsOversee development and implementation of all control system project requirementsSupport commissioning team during plant turnoverWork with cross functional teams and support as plant controls SME for both internal and external customersDesired Experience:A subject matter expert in the Power Generation industry, with established expertise in power plant controls and renewable energyAbility to manage deliverables from domestic and foreign suppliersExperience developing and verifying software requirements throughout the project lifecycleAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsQualifications:Engineering degree or technical degree in a related technical area5+ years SCADA/Controls engineering experienceAbility to travel domestically and internationally (<10%)Preferred Qualifications:Engineer-In-Training or Professional EngineerMaster’s DegreeMultilingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Korean)Job OverviewEmployees in this role make decisions and recommendations having significant impact on extensive engineering and related activities for the company.
