Local Class A Driver

Overview

As a Local Class A Driver , you’ll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

 

Hourly Pay:	$22.00/hr.
Shift(s):	Friday-Sunday 5:30pm - 5:00am
Location:	Douglas, GA, 31533

What You'll Do

 

• Handle all local trailer deliveries and retrievals; primarily drop and hook 

• Deliver and retrieve trailers within 2-3 miles making about 20-30 trips per shift 

• Automatic day cab, 53’ dry vans, 8-hour shift

What You'll Need

 

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past year 

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older 

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle 

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician 

• No record of being disqualified to drive 

• Successful completion of a DOT road test 

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years 

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred 

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a vehicle cab for entire shifts of varying lengths in time

• The noise level in the work environment depends on location 

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
