IAM Operations Specialist

This is a ServiceNow-focused IAM Operations role , not an engineering position. The consultant will manage a high-volume ticket queue , ensuring compliance with Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and improving IAM processes. The role requires strong documentation skills , a proactive mindset , and the ability to challenge existing processes while helping modernize IAM operations. One Identity Manager (OIM) knowledge is highly preferred, along with ServiceNow expertise for access management tasks. The position is hybrid in Chicago (1 day per week in-office) , supporting IAM improvements, audits, and role consolidations within the FHLBC IAM team .

Required Skills:
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) with a customer service mindset
• Expertise in IAM security controls, protocols, and best practices
• Experience managing ticket queues and prioritizing requests efficiently
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience collaborating with various business units and stakeholders
• Familiarity with directory services, identity governance tools, and IT service management platforms
• 2-3 years of IT support experience with a focus on IT security and IAM

Desired Skills:
• Experience with access management tools and identity governance frameworks
• Knowledge of automation and self-service methodologies for IAM processes
• Understanding of modern authentication technologies and account lifecycle management
