TOCCI has an immediate opening for a Chief Accounting Officer to lead the Company’s accounting organization and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of its financial reporting.

Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, the Chief Accounting Officer oversees all accounting operations, financial reporting, project accounting, treasury administration, internal controls, and compliance. This executive leadership role is instrumental in supporting profitable project delivery while maintaining strong relationships with lenders, sureties, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on accounting executive with deep construction accounting expertise, extensive experience managing audits and outside CPA firms, exceptional technical knowledge, and a passion for developing people, improving systems, and building scalable financial processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting process.
• Oversee Work-in-Process (WIP) reporting, revenue recognition, job costing, and project financial reporting.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, lender reporting, and surety reporting.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
• Manage treasury operations, cash forecasting, banking activities, and working capital reporting.
• Lead ERP optimization, accounting automation, dashboard development, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting organization while fostering collaboration across accounting and operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including management of accounting teams.
• Construction industry experience with strong knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP reporting, and job costing.
• Experience leading external audits, lender reporting, and surety relationships.
• Strong ERP experience (Sage 300 CRE preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
• A leader who combines technical excellence with sound judgment, integrity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI responsibly to improve financial processes and reporting.
