Important Requirements

• Must have 3 years of Med-Surg experience.
• Must have 1 year of pediatric experience.
• Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• May be required to float to other departments where qualified.
• Must be willing to participate in Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Must attend staff meetings.
• Maximum of two shift call-offs.
• RTOs for Thanksgiving and Christmas are not acceptable.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients on a 20-bed medical-surgical unit. The RN is responsible for caring for both adult and pediatric populations and may provide support to other departments or Flu Immunization clinics as needed. The role requires flexibility with scheduling, floating, and call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
• Manage patient assignments within the medical-surgical unit.
• Provide care for both non-COVID and COVID patients according to staffing and patient needs.
• Assist with Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Float to other qualified departments and provide patient care or task-oriented support as required.
• Attend staff meetings.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 3 years of Med-Surg experience.
• 1 year of pediatric experience.

Required Certifications

• American Heart Association BLS.
• ACLS.
• PALS.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts.
• Typical schedule is 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
• Up to 1 on-call shift per week.
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be available for floating to other qualified departments.
