Job Details: Location: Double Tree by Hilton Worthington - Columbus, OH 43235. Position Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time. Shift: First/Day/Afternoon. Category: Restaurant - Food Service. Position Summary Effectively promote, take and deliver food and beverage orders. Essential Functions Accurately and quickly take and place all food orders with the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedure. (25%) Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials and prices of all items. (5%) Prepare and deliver beverage and dessert orders. (10%) Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion. (25%) Prepare the guest check accurately and present it to the guest before their departure. (20%) Collect payment from the guest. (10%) Non‑essential Functions Clean, clear and reset dining room tables. Assist in seating and greeting the guest. Clean and restock service items. Qualifications Education: Ability to read and write English. Experience: One year server experience helpful but not required. Skills and Abilities: Communication and hospitality skills (English required). TIPS trainable. Ability to work on micros computer system. Physical Requirements Lifting / Pushing / Pulling / Carrying: Lifting of food trays up to 40 lbs. Pushing Queen Marys up to 100 lbs. Bending / Kneeling: Bending to lift food trays up to 40 lbs. Mobility: Continually moving at a fast pace. Continuous Standing: 100% of the shift. Climbing Stairs: Up to approx. 3 steps 50% of 8‑hour shift. Work Environment: Inside: 95% of 8‑hour shift. Outside: 5% of 8‑hour shift. Hearing: Critical – Able to take guest orders. Vision: Moderate – Able to check food for accuracy. Speech: Critical – Able to explain food items and specials, able to take orders. Literacy: Critical – Able to take and communicate orders. Chemicals/Agents: Windex—everyday. Sterno—everyday.
