Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced, specialized unit. The role focuses on safety, quality, and patient-centered documentation, supporting positive health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions regularly to identify changes and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following clinical protocols.
• Document patient progress accurately in the Meditech system, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain safety protocols, including proper central line care and infection prevention measures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in Kansas or the applicable state.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of Med Surg or telemetry nursing experience.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Be proficient in using equipment such as EKG, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis systems.
• Show commitment to patient safety, quality care, and documentation accuracy.
