Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance

• Execute Scheduled PMs: Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and parts replacement on production equipment according to manufacturer specifications and internal schedules.
  Condition Monitoring: Identify signs of equipment wear (such as unusual vibration, heat, or noise) and proactively replace components before failure occurs.

• System Testing: Conduct functional and continuity tests on machinery to ensure all safety guards and operational cycles are performing correctly.

Troubleshooting & Repair

• Mechanical Repair: Disassemble machinery to repair or replace gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and drive belts using hand and power tools.
  Technical Diagnostics: Use precision measurement tools—including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators —to diagnose misalignments or dimensional variances.

• Pneumatic & Hydraulic Support: Troubleshoot and repair valves, cylinders, and hoses to maintain consistent system pressure (PSI).

Documentation & Compliance

• Traceability: Record all maintenance activities, parts used, and machine downtime into the company’s ERP or WMS system to maintain full audit traceability.
  Safety Standards: Adhere strictly to OSHA-10 guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical schematics to ensure repairs meet engineering specifications.
