Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Network Project Manager with a strong technical background to join our team. As a Network Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of WAN (Wide Area Network) and SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) projects. Your technical expertise, combined with your project management skills, will ensure the successful delivery of network infrastructure projects, meeting client requirements and project deadlines. Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies. Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are assigned, monitored, and completed on time. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes. Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of WAN and SD-WAN technologies, architecture, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders. Conduct assessments of existing network infrastructure and propose appropriate solutions. Collaborate with network engineers and architects to design network solutions that align with project requirements. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external vendors or service providers for network infrastructure components. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services. Manage vendor contracts, negotiations, and performance. Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of network projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and technical specifications. Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and take corrective actions as required. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet quality standards. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and user manuals. Prepare project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues. Threat Analytics and Incident Response: Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools, with a focus on Splunk. Conduct threat analysis and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely and effective response. Perform triage, containment, eradication, and recovery actions as part of the incident response process. Document incident details, response actions, and lessons learned for continuous improvement. SIEM Management: Utilize Splunk or other SIEM tools to collect, analyze, and correlate security event logs. Develop and fine-tune SIEM rules, alerts, and reports to identify and respond to security threats. Configure and maintain SIEM infrastructure, ensuring proper data collection and storage. Collaborate with other teams to integrate relevant log sources into the SIEM platform. Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR): Experience with SOAR platforms, specifically Phantom, is preferred. Automate security processes and workflows to improve efficiency and response times. Develop and maintain playbooks and automation scripts for incident response activities. Collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases and implement SOAR solutions. Technical Security Skills: Possess strong technical expertise in areas such as forensics, malware analysis, and packet capture analysis. Perform forensic analysis of security incidents, identifying indicators of compromise (IOCs) and determining the extent of the breach. Conduct malware analysis to understand the behaviour and impact of malicious software. Analyze network traffic and packet captures to identify security vulnerabilities and potential threats. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain clear and concise operational processes and procedures documentation. Prepare regular reports on security incidents, trends, and key performance indicators. Present findings and updates to management and relevant committees. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience. Proven experience as a Network Project Manager, preferably with a focus on WAN and SD-WAN projects. Strong technical understanding of WAN and SD-WAN technologies, such as routers, switches, VPN, MPLS, and traffic engineering. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable. Familiarity with network infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Prior experience in vendor management and contract negotiation is a plus.
