Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit at a level 1 facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient status, interpreting medical data and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and recovery expectations.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records using electronic health record systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in a CSICU or CVICU at a level 1 facility is required.
• Proficient in using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems, with no exceptions.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts, with hours from 19:00 to 07:00.
