Shift we are offering is Wednesday's 9am-12pm! Wether it be you only work that shift or would love to pick up additional hours we can make that happen! We change lives. We offer paid training and flexible shifts that are perfect for students or folks who want to grab extra hours without working late nights. Goldfish Swim School is seeking applications for a Swim Instructor in Stamford, CT.Job summary: The Swim Instructor is responsible for instructing students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Duties and responsibilities:
- Provides one-on-one swim instruction with students based on the GSS curriculum.
- Evaluates student progress and submits daily reports.
- Acts as a GSS "ambassador" with parents/guardians on the development of students' swim skills
- Promotes safety rules and regulations and follows reporting procedures.
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
- Makes rescues and administers first aid/CPR when necessary.
- Provides assistance to students and other teachers as needed.
- Attend workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
- Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
- 16 years or older
- Ability to work with children
- No prior swim experience necessary but a willingness to work and and learn is a must!
- CPR/AED or Lifeguard certification, if you are not already certified it will be provided during training.
- Experience working as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor and/or childcare provider.
