• Experience: Minimum of 2 years PICU experience; cross-trained and able to float to Adult ICU and Med/Tele preferred

What You'll Do:

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU setting
• Titrate and monitor various IV medications, including pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
• Perform phlebotomy and central line troubleshooting (PIV skills, CVL, telemetry, drains, wound care)
• Collaborate with ICU team including intensivists, hospitalists, RTs, and resource nurses
• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and needs
• Adhere to hospital protocols utilizing Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Assist with patient transfers, discharges, and comprehensive documentation
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific and hospital-wide policies and protocols

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience; cross-trained and able to float to Adult ICU/Med-tele preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NRP preferred
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Key skills: strong IV skills, titration experience, patient assessment, teamwork, adaptability
