Grocery Store Manager

Be a Servant Leader by interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training new associates; serve as a role model, mentor, and resource. Manage performance through coaching. Assess voice‑of‑customer data to identify customer experience, product selection needs, and opportunities for improvement. Develop the weekly work schedule using the workforce management tool to meet labor targets while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Execute and grow external order programs such as e‑commerce and express orders. Requirements 3+ years of grocery or retail management experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience. Hands‑on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g., Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood) is highly preferred. Prepared for a demanding schedule of 50+ hours per week, including 10‑hour workdays, shift spans, and occasional six‑day workweeks. Experience in safe food handling and storage practices is required. Business acumen to understand and leverage financial reporting in driving decisions that positively influence business outcomes. Ability to unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer merchandise from stockroom to store. High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor’s in Business or related field preferred. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
