Schedule Full‑time Certified Surgery Technician (CST) work Monday‑Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a rotating day off: Tuesday off this week, Wednesday off next week, Thursday off the following week, and so on. Every four weeks you will receive a 4‑day weekend (Friday and Monday off). Call is required—typically 2–3 days a month, with one weekend call every 6–8 weeks. Responsibilities The Certified Surgery Tech holds a safety‑sensitive position, providing aid in functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The technician understands the procedure being performed, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure, and remains vigilant for the maintenance of the sterile field. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. Certified Surgical Technicians must be certified through NBSTA upon hire. Current BLS certification required upon hire. No experience required. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current surgical and sterile procedures that are unit/age specific. Preferred Experience Ortho experience preferred.
