Production Editor

Seeking a full-time Production Editor, the candidate will manage the production of academic textbooks and digital course materials, overseeing projects from manuscript preparation to digital publication while working in a hybrid remote/in-office environment. Key responsibilities: Manages the production of 70-100 titles each year, prioritizing workflows to meet deadlines Builds and maintains academic content in Pressbooks and other digital platforms, applying and troubleshooting HTML and CSS Coordinates copyediting, proofreading, and final content approval while performing quality assurance on digital content for accessibility and functionality Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and experience in academic or digital publishing Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Familiarity with HTML and CSS, with the ability to troubleshoot content and formatting issues Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a production environment Understanding of digital accessibility principles and quality assurance practices
