We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Day Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) provides therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The CRT collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with hospital policies, protocols, and state licensure requirements.**Primary Responsibilities:*** Deliver respiratory therapy treatments as ordered by physicians (e.g., aerosol medication administration, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy).* Conduct and interpret basic diagnostic respiratory tests such as pulse oximetry and bedside spirometry.* Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and oxygen delivery systems.* Assess patient respiratory status and document relevant data in the medical record accurately and promptly.* Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response calls, providing airway management and resuscitation as needed.* Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis; interpret and report results to medical staff.* Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments, disease management, and equipment use.* Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and storage of respiratory equipment.* Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives.* Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to plan and deliver coordinated care.**Qualifications:*** Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.* Current certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).* Active and unrestricted state license (if required by the state of employment).* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required depending on department.* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications may be required depending on patient population served.* Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing clinical needs**Days w/ eo wknd & hols; 7a-7:15p (TEMPORARY) Salary Range: $42.009/hr - $43.751/hr (Commensurate with Exp****erience)****Employment Non-Discrimination:** Richmond University Medical Center is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment and provides full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and needs including lactation accommodations, physical or mental disability, age, immigration or citizenship status, veteran or active military status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
