Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a position in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves providing post-surgical patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center servicing a large medical facility. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii RN license on the first day of employment.

• Address: 1301 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
• Schedule: Rotating shift hours; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Health Care Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Two (2) or more years of full-time Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Phase I/II staff RN experience in a comparable size/type medical center (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) excluding travel assignments
  • Telemetry experience required; Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience highly preferred
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification(s) such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) highly desired
  • CPI (or equivalent) and NIHSS are preferred
• Additional Information:
  • Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; non-compliance will delay the start or result in cancellation
  • A current NURSYS report must be submitted with all applications
  • If not needed on their assigned unit, RN may be assigned as a nursing assistant or safety sitter, which is an expectation of the role
  • A 48-hour contract option is available
  • The position is classified as normal urgency
