Senior Application Engineer II

Senior Application Engineer – ClaimCenter Employees in this role are expected to be on-site a minimum of two days a week, with the potential to work three days remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday and Thursday but will be determined by business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform as well as broader enterprise applications and integrations that support business needs. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement Java-based integration solutions within a cloud native architecture Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features Customize and configure the ClaimCenter platform in a cloud environment to align with business needs Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests Work across the organization to provide business processes or design recommendations consistent with long‑term business and IT strategy Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of experience developingJava applicationsin enterprise environments Experience with the following technologies and tools: Highly motivated and ambitious, excellent communication skills, creative & critical thinker Continual learning and improvement in the understanding of software capabilities and programming languages is essential Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Awareness and experience with AI tools Bonus Qualifications Prior experience in the P&C insurance industry Guidewire ClaimCenter certification(s) Guidewire ClaimCenter development and configuration TeamCity for CI/CD automation Business Unit Property & Casualty IT Services Benefits We offer competitive benefits packages for full‑time and part‑time employees*.
