Human Resources Manager

Location: Kingman, AZ (On-Site)

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 (Based on experience)

We are looking for someone with a fantastic, laid-back yet capable personality who can seamlessly navigate different communication styles, build immediate trust with manufacturing leadership, and bring fresh ideas to streamline our processes. In this standalone role, you will wear many hats—from employee relations and onboarding to payroll administration support and event planning. You will have your own office, the full backing of our corporate HR team, and the local support of an on-site Office Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Relations & Partnership: Serve as the primary trusted advisor for employees and local leadership. Handle workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Payroll Data Management: You will  not process final payroll, but you will act as the crucial link between the plant and corporate. Track 30/90-day step increases, raises, and role changes in ADP, ensuring data is submitted accurately and on time for corporate processing.
• Onboarding & Benefits: Facilitate electronic onboarding for new hires, translate policies into easy-to-understand language, and guide employees through annual open enrollments and benefit queries.
• Risk & Safety Support: Act as the local point of contact for workers' compensation claims (liaising with corporate leadership and adjusters) and serve as a backup to the on-site Safety Manager for accident reporting. Maintain OSHA and safety-related records.
• Culture Building: Plan and coordinate local employee engagement events, including milestone safety meals and a large annual company-wide function.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in HR, Business, or a related field required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience (HR Manager, HR Supervisor, or Senior Employee Relations).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment is highly preferred, but we will gladly consider candidates with the right adaptable personality for a plant environment.
• Previous experience working with HRIS/Payroll systems (ADP strongly preferred, but Paycom, Workday, or similar is acceptable).
• Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to partner effectively with strong-willed operations leaders.
