Full-Time Cook

Patriots Glen is looking for a full-time cook to join their close-knit assisted living community in the Lake Hills of Bellevue. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support the health and happiness of our residents. Pay is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE. Full time. Monday-Friday. 5:30am-2:00pm. Washington state food handlers permit required (can obtain when hired). CPR/First Aid required. 1 year experience.

Patriots Glen offers assisted living, memory care and respite care in the Lake Hills neighborhood of Bellevue, WA. They are a close-knit community of enthusiastic residents, and compassionate senior care professionals. Patriots Glen offers on-site licensed nurse care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, along with industry-leading care options, services and amenities.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of fresh meals based on daily menus and the dietary needs of residents.
• Interact with residents on a daily basis to ascertain their views, suggestions and concerns on meals served at the direction of Food Service Director.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Properly store, label and rotate food to maintain quality and safety standards
• Maintain and record proper temperature controls, food storage and food rotation.
• Adhere to safety and sanitary practices.
• Support teammates to keep the kitchen running effective and positively.
• Take pride in every plate that is sent out to ensure mealtime is a highlight for residents.

Requirements:

• Obtain and maintain a Washington state food handlers permit.
• Must be dependable.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Must possess knowledge of safe sanitation practices, safety practices and special diets.
• Must be able to work in Bellevue, WA.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a food service setting.
• Ability to follow recipes, read instructions and communicate in English.
• Have a willingness to learn and a positive attitude working with a team.
