Position Description

The Shop/Yard Worker is responsible for ensuring supplies and small equipment are delivered to the jobsites whether they are in house supplies or need picked up from a vendor. The Yard Worker should work closely with shop management for guidance on where tools and/or consumables should be taken. Strong communication with appropriate Adena personnel to reduce duplicate traffic patterns with equipment transport.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Delivers in stock supplies to the jobsites
• Picks up supplies from vendors and deliver to the jobsites or to the shop
• Delivers equipment to and from jobsites(skid loaders,excavators,scissor lifts, etc.)
• Responsible for checking tools and inventory in and out based on field request
• Maintains overall shop and yard appearance, organization and cleanliness
• Campus landscape upkeep including mowing
• Pressure washing fleet vehicles along with heavy equipment
• Inspecting and greasing incoming/outgoing equipment
• Cleans and maintains tools
• Assist mechanics as needed
• Assists management as needed
• Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

Position Requirements

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Good knowledge of methods, materials and tools
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Ability to operate equipment (skid loaders, excavators,scissor lifts and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Must be open to all tasks that arise
• Must be able to lift to 50lbs
• Must have experience pulling trailers
• Ability to work in a team environment
