Educare of Omaha, Inc. is a non‑profit organization that has a collaborative partnership between Early Head Start/Head Start, Omaha Public Schools and the Buffett Early Childhood Fund. Comprised of the two Educare Omaha Schools (Kellom and Indian Hill) and three Early Learning Centers (Skinner, Gateway and Kennedy), the mission of Educare of Omaha, Inc. is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children ages 0 to 5 through the provision of evidence‑based education, health, nutritional, social, family engagement and other services to enrolled children and their families. The South Family Engagement Manager provides leadership and supervision for family engagement and home visitation services within Educare Omaha at Indian Hill and Early Learning Center at Gateway. This position ensures the implementation of comprehensive family engagement practices that strengthen family well‑being, promote positive parent‑child relationships, support family stability, and increase parents’ active involvement in their child’s learning and development. The South Family Engagement Manager leads a team of Family Engagement Staff to develop strong partnerships with families, identify family strengths and needs, coordinate resources, and support families in achieving self‑identified goals. The position is a member of the school leadership team and works collaboratively with education, health—including mental health, special education, and community partners to ensure integrated services that support positive child and family outcomes. This position directly relates to the active supervision, training, and adherence to regulatory policies and procedures as it relates to Performance Standards, grant, and state licensing requirements. Full‑Time (40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday); 12‑month schedule; Exempt. The typical work schedule is 8:00 am‑5:00 pm but will vary based on the needs of the school and the organization. Occasional required evenings and weekends. Educare of Omaha at Indian Hill (3110 W Street, Omaha, NE 68107) but serves both South locations. Leadership and Family Engagement Programming Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and reflective supervision to Family Engagement Staff. Ensure high‑quality intensive family engagement is provided to all enrolled families. Establish performance expectations and periodically monitor staff's effectiveness through observations at home visits, engagement events, and provide performance evaluations. Facilitate regular school‑level family engagement meetings and professional development opportunities to increase their knowledge of child development, including training in proactive, positive approaches to discipline and intervention with children and families with challenging behaviors. Ensure PIR (Program Information Report) information is entered for all families. Lead the internal planning and subsequent involvement of parents in all their children’s program transitions, i.e., into the program, from EHS to HS and from HS to kindergarten. Support FACE Specialists in the use of child screening, assessment, and progress data to inform the development of goals in the Family Partnership Agreement. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of family engagement activities, referrals, and family partnership goals. Ensure and lead Parent Committees at their site. Conduct data debriefs with FACE team on results from program assessments and family outcome results to ensure intentionality in attempts to improve program outcomes. Support staff in addressing barriers that may impact children’s attendance, family engagement, or family well‑being. Performance Expectations / Deliverables: Ensure 100% of enrolled families are offered participation in the Family Partnership Process within 90 days of enrollment. Ensure at least 85% of participating families establish one or more family partnership goals annually. Ensure at least 75% of family partnership goals show documented progress or completion by year‑end. Increase the percentage of families reporting improved stability in areas such as employment, education, housing, transportation, financial literacy, and health care access. Ensure at least 90% of families identified as needing community resources receive referrals within 10 business days. Maintain documentation demonstrating follow‑up on 95% of referrals made by Family Engagement Staff. Increase participation in family engagement events, workshops, and educational activities by at least 10% annually or maintain participation rates above established organizational benchmarks. Ensure every classroom has family engagement opportunities available monthly. Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Coordination Collaborate with Education, Health, Mental Health, Disabilities, ERSEA, and Administrative staff to ensure coordinated service delivery. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations. Assist with planning and implementation of family engagement initiatives that align with organizational goals and school readiness objectives. Work closely with the School Director to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities impacting family outcomes. Participation in the Evaluation Leadership Team meetings as requested by School Director and ensure continuous quality improvement within family engagement services at the school. Lead efforts to engage and collaborate with Mentor Teacher Supervisor (MTS) and/or Early Childhood Supervisor and School Director (SD) to establish site specific programming for families. Provide support of the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance (ERSEA) process and participate in recruitment efforts of program participants to help maintain full program enrollment at assigned school. Performance Expectations / Deliverables: Attend and actively participate in at least 90% of scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings. Ensure 90% of action items assigned to Family Engagement Staff through interdisciplinary meetings are completed by established deadlines. Ensure 100% of children and families identified for multidisciplinary support have a documented interdisciplinary action plan within 15 business days of identification. Increase parent participation in school readiness activities by 5% annually or maintain participation at 85% or higher. Provide timely updates regarding family needs, barriers, strengths, and progress to appropriate team members. Reduce chronic absenteeism among children receiving intensive family support by at least 10% annually.

Ability to establish supportive relationships and form an alliance with community stakeholders that come onsite, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds on behalf of children. Knowledge of community resources and capacity to develop community cooperation to ensure that the community is aware of Educare’s programs and services and that programs remain “full”. Ability to travel to community agencies, cover cases, and/or make home visits, if needed. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in a manner that demonstrates and fosters cooperation, respect, concern, and openness to change. Ability to take or think about the perspective of others and demonstrate self‑awareness of one’s own culture, beliefs, and values. Ability to collaboratively problem‑solve. Complies with all confidentiality regulations as required. Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. At least four years of experience working with families. At least three years of experience in an Early Childhood setting. Three to four years of supervisory/management experience. Clearance of background checks as required by local, state, and federal regulations. Physical examination and diagnostic tests as required by local, state, and federal regulations. Valid NE Driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
