Railcar Prepper – Entry-Level Rail OpportunityRoad & Rail Services is hiring dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our Princeton, Indiana operation as Railcar Preppers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team. Previous railroad experience is not required. We are looking for people who show up ready to work, follow safety procedures, pay attention to detail, and are willing to learn.As a Railcar Prepper, you will help inspect, clean, and prepare railcars before they are used to transport vehicles. Your work plays an important role in protecting customer vehicles and keeping rail operations moving safely and efficiently.What You'll DoYour day-to-day responsibilities may include:Inspect railcars for visible damage, wear, fatigue, or other concernsAssist with safely opening and closing railcar end doorsIdentify repair needs that fall within Road & Rail Services' approved scope of workRemove dirt, debris, and other contaminants from railcars using backpack blowers, scrapers, and other equipmentPrepare railcars to help prevent damage to vehicles during loading and transportationProperly use, inspect, and maintain assigned tools and equipmentKeep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazardsFollow all company, customer, and industry safety requirementsComplete additional railcar preparation or housekeeping duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates should have:Valid state-issued driver's licenseStrong commitment to workplace safetyDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn new skills and follow established proceduresPositive, team-oriented attitudeAbility to perform hands-on work in an outdoor rail environmentThis is an outdoor position.
