Security Supervisor (FT - LACC)

Position: Full Time Security Supervisor Department: Security Reports To: Security Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Base Salary Range: $25.00 per hour Summary The Los Angeles Convention Center seeks a Full Time Security Supervisor to oversee security personnel, supervise shift leads, and maintain security policies and procedures. The Supervisor ensures a safe environment for guests, tenants, employees, vendors and contractors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to all security needs and calls for service; collaborate with other Security team members and local law enforcement as necessary. Train, counsel, discipline, evaluate and supervise Security personnel in accordance with ASM Global Security Department's philosophy and policies. Manage hours of all Security Officers and Supervisors, including 24‑hour staff and event security. Proactively enforce LACC policies and procedures, and follow up on violations and complaints. Work with Guest Services to manage large crowds in changing event environments. Operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, Fire Control, radio communications, elevators, and lighting controls. Develop and maintain an employee and visitor photo ID and credential program. Collaborate with management to update policies, procedures and the Emergency Evacuation Plan. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of security related work experience. ASM Global/AEG Security experience may be factored 2:1. Valid CA State Guard Card. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of crowd‑management principles and ability to implement crowd control techniques. Ability to provide training and direction to new hires. Ability to create, explain and maintain an employee roster/schedule. Required variable work schedule: late hours, early mornings, extended hours, holidays and weekends. Reliable transportation and ability to represent ASM Global and LACC professionally. Education and/or Experience Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a sports venue, entertainment, or convention facility. Law enforcement and/or prior military experience. Experience interviewing, recruiting and screening candidates. Knowledge of scheduling software. Physical Demands The position requires regular movement around the facility, standing for long hours during events, and the ability to work inside or outside the building as needed.
