Business Development Manager . Controls & Automation Western United States | Approximately 50% regional travel I’m working with an established electrical engineering and automation specialist seeking a Business Development Manager to grow its systems integration business across the Western U.S. This is a new business role targeting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, energy infrastructure and data center markets. You’ll identify opportunities early, build relationships with technical decision-makers and work with engineers to develop tailored solutions. The Role Develop new accounts and build a qualified sales pipeline across the territory. Engage customers, general contractors and engineering teams before projects reach tender. Sell solutions covering PLC/SCADA integration, control system modernization, electrical engineering, control panels and commissioning. Manage opportunities, forecasts and activity through the CRM, collaborating with engineering and operations. About You 7+ years in relevant business development or technical sales, or 5+ years of hands‑on controls and automation experience with the ability to develop new business. Experience selling systems integration or engineered control solutions, or a strong technical background in delivering them. Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and industrial networks, with familiarity across platforms such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens. Confident building relationships, identifying customer needs and developing opportunities in new territories. Relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license, be comfortable with approximately 50% travel and be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
