RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work four 9-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Approximately 15 call shifts every 6 weeks with 30-minute response time
• Some weeknight call shifts approximately 10 per month
• Weekend call required Friday, Saturday, Sunday about every 3rd weekend
• Holiday call required but shared amongst staff - 1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday
• Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology cases
• Provide pre and post procedure patient care and conduct patient calls
• Handle common diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker procedures
• Work in combined cath lab and IR facility with 2 suites averaging 4 cases per day
• Cardiac catheterization experience required, interventional radiology experience preferred or willingness to learn
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Use Epic EMR system, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
• Provided blue scrubs for dress code
• May float within zone if extreme need to other facilities
• Unit-specific orientation provided over several days following facility orientation

This acute care hospital features a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory combined with interventional radiology services. The facility operates 2 procedure suites handling both cardiac and IR cases, with cardiologists available in-house during the day and on-call overnight. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support comprehensive cardiovascular care and interventional procedures.
