Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities
• Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
• Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs , administered by the FSBPT
• Active and valid PTA license in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises

Preferred Experience / Skills

• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with a diverse patient population
