VP Operations

Responsibilities Develop and execute operational strategies to ensure the efficient and reliable performance of the data centre. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with overall business objectives. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for the data centre operations. Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of data centre infrastructure to meet current and future demands. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Extensive experience in data centre operations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role. Proficiency in tools such as Accubid (PC) and Bluebeam (PC) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and achieving measurable results. Knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and compliance requirements related to data centre operations. Day-to-Day Oversee the daily operations of the data centre, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on priorities. Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and resolve operational issues. Review and approve budgets, contracts, and vendor agreements. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on operational performance and strategic initiatives. Lead and participate in crisis management and incident response efforts as needed.
