Systems Manager – Technology & Operations Leadership

$150,000–$180,000 DOE

Position Overview

A growing ABA organization is seeking a strong, solutions-oriented Systems Manager to take ownership of its company-wide technology systems, platforms, and operational tools.

This is a leadership position, not a hands-on coding or IT technician role. We are looking for someone with a strong ownership mentality who can serve as the organization's go-to person for systems and technology-related needs.

The ideal candidate does not need to personally code or resolve every technical issue. Rather, they must have a solid understanding of technology, know how to identify problems, determine what expertise is needed, engage the right IT professionals, developers, or vendors, and ensure solutions are implemented successfully.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing technology initiatives, coordinating technical resources, holding vendors and developers accountable, and ensuring systems operate efficiently across the organization.

We are looking for a proactive leader who takes initiative, follows through, and takes responsibility for getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Leadership & Ownership

• Serve as the organization's central point of contact for technology systems, troubleshooting, and improvement initiatives.

• Take ownership of identifying system issues, coordinating solutions, and ensuring timely resolution.

• Oversee the performance, reliability, and effectiveness of company-wide systems and platforms.

• Proactively identify inefficiencies, system gaps, and opportunities to streamline operations.

• Evaluate existing technology and recommend improvements, replacements, or new solutions.

• Establish clear processes, accountability, and follow-through for technology-related needs.

IT, Vendor & Developer Management

• Oversee and coordinate internal and external developers, IT providers, and software vendors.

• Determine when additional technical expertise is needed and identify the appropriate professionals or resources to complete the work.

• Manage troubleshooting, coding, integrations, and system development initiatives through qualified technical specialists.

• Translate operational needs into clear technical requirements, priorities, and project timelines.

• Review development work and ensure deliverables meet organizational needs and security requirements.

• Hold technical partners accountable for performance, timelines, quality, and successful implementation.

• Oversee vendor relationships, software licensing, renewals, and technology-related services.

Systems & Technology Oversight

• Oversee core organizational platforms, including Monday.com, CentralReach, Viventium, Microsoft 365, CRM systems, learning management systems, and AI tools.

• Coordinate system configurations, permissions, integrations, automations, and ongoing maintenance.

• Oversee user access, onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning, and technology support.

• Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of system issues through internal resources and external partners.

• Work with IT and compliance professionals to oversee appropriate cybersecurity practices, multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, data protection, and disaster recovery planning.

• Ensure systems and technology practices support applicable healthcare privacy and compliance requirements.

• Maintain system documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.

Project Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration

• Lead technology and systems projects from identifying needs through implementation and completion.

• Work closely with operations, clinical leadership, HR, billing, and other departments to understand challenges and develop solutions.

• Coordinate developers, IT providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects progress efficiently.

• Manage project priorities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff and translate business needs into actionable requirements.

• Support employees and departments through new system implementations, workflow changes, and technology improvements.

• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and technology to improve productivity and support organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems management, technology operations, business operations, or a related field.

• Strong leadership capabilities with an ownership mentality and the ability to independently drive projects and solutions.

• Solid understanding of business technology, software platforms, integrations, and operational workflows.

• Experience coordinating or overseeing IT providers, developers, software vendors, or technology projects.

• Ability to identify technical challenges, determine appropriate resources, and ensure effective resolution.

• Strong project management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

• Proactive, resourceful, and highly accountable, with strong follow-through.

• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, CRM systems, workflow automation, and Microsoft 365 preferred.

• Experience in healthcare, ABA, or a regulated environment is a plus.

• Experience supporting multiple departments or locations is preferred.
