Hydromechanical Engineer

Job Description Hydromechanical Engineer – Water Business Line (United States) Key Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale mechanical systems for water infrastructure projects. Create 3‑D models using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit or other mechanical design software for use in design drawings. Size and select hoists, actuators and associated waterworks mechanical systems. Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and mechanical performance according to industry standards and specifications. Review and approve engineering drawings and vendor submittals. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Structural and Electrical Engineers. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and client requirements. Prepare technical reports, specifications and documentation. Support proposal development by providing technical input. Travel a few times a year for site visits and client meetings. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering program and 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. 10+ years of mechanical engineering design related to water, infrastructure or similar industrial equipment. Experience with locks, dams, gates, hoisting mechanisms, actuators, or large-scale mechanical systems. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and sweep diagrams; proficiency in FEA analysis. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit or other 3‑D design tools and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently with guidance and in hybrid, multidisciplinary environments. Travel a few times a year for site visits and client meetings. Additional Information No relocation or sponsorship available for this role. Compensation range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
