Payroll Data AnalystBAE Systems is seeking a Payroll Data Analyst to join one of our programs. The availability of this position is contingent on being submitted and obtaining a high level security clearance. Must be US citizen. Candidates must have the ability to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, providing data analysis and insights related to compensation, taxes, and benefits. This position requires the individual to analyze payroll data to identify trends, report on and resolve payroll issues, and recommend process improvements, contributing to the organization's financial accuracy and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Data Integrity and Accuracy: Verify and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee compensation, tax deductions, and benefitsPayroll Processing: Review timesheets, adjust pay calculations, and process payroll transactions, including direct deposits and checksCompliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal payroll regulations and tax lawsData Analysis and Reporting: Analyze payroll data to identify trends, potential errors, and areas for improvementPayroll System Expertise: Utilize and maintain knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems to ensure smooth and efficient operationsCommunication and Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, answer questions about salaries and deductionsAudit and Reconciliation: Conduct audits of payroll procedures and records, reconciling payroll accounts to ensure accuracyProcess Improvement: Analyze and identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiencyRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsProblem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve payroll-related issuesAttention to detail: Accuracy and precision in data entry and calculations are crucialTechnically savvy: Ability to run queries (SQL, PLSQL) and high aptitude in MS ExcelStrong analytical skills: Ability to review SOPs, analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusionsFamiliarity with HRIS and/or payroll systems: Experience with payroll software and data management systemsCommunication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholdersPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor's Degree in Data or Business Analytics or related disciplineHCM / payroll application experience: Experience as an administrator of human capital management (HCM) and/or payroll systemsKnowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws: Expertise in state and federal payroll regulations and tax lawsSoftware development experience: Experience writing SQL queries and experience with scripting languagesData visualization skills: Ability to create reports and dashboards to present data insightsPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
