Step into a dynamic school environment supporting students’ growth as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a maternity leave coverage opportunity running from August 17 (or as soon as available) through September 28. This contract role involves working three to four days weekly at an elementary school, offering crucial onsite support for students with diverse learning needs.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to provide direct occupational therapy services, working in tandem with passionate special education and classroom teams. Your work will focus on advancing student access, functional skills, and participation, particularly within self-contained autism programs.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current or eligible certification from the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Illinois Occupational Therapist License required.
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred, but not mandatory.
• Strong collaborative skills and a commitment to supporting individualized education plan (IEP) goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services directly to eligible students.
• Collaborate with classroom and special education staff to integrate therapy goals within the school routine.
