## Refrigeration Technician IIApplylocations: Georgia - Pendergrass Planttime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 2026-64300**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**Primarily responsible for maintaining, operating, inspecting, and repairing various types of ammonia refrigeration equipment for a poultry processing plant. Performs preventative and predictive maintenance; periodically tests and inspects to verify equipment is operating within manufacturer’s specifications and tolerances; troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs as needed. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. **RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:*** Under general supervision, perform the operations in the ammonia refrigeration compressor room, follow blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and repair units* Take and record required system readings; understand the implications of variances and report to appropriate personnel/leader* Perform maintenance on compressors as needed and/or scheduled* Identify unsafe conditions; correct or report to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on own* Assist in creating and maintaining a file of blueprints and operating manuals and procedures* Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations* All other duties as assigned**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:*** High School Diploma or equivalent* NOCTI HVAC/Refrigeration test Level 1 certified* Pass NOCTI HVAC/Refrigeration test, Level 2 required****EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:***** Minimum 2 years’ experience in running, maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration equipment* Intermediate math and computer skills* Knowledge and understanding of all functions and components of ammonia refrigeration equipment* Knowledge of electrical and general mechanical systems* Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours* Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character**SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:*** Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.)**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*** Stand up to 8 hours* Lift up to 60 lbs* May be exposed to heat (99oF, 37oC) and cold (45oF, 4oC)* Exposure to wet and dusty environment* Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling* Roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.)* Work around raw, live animal odors #J-18808-Ljbffr
