Job Description - CT Technologist I (260000VB) Job Description Description The CT Tech 1 is an entry level position responsible for performing CT and radiographic imaging to obtain high-quality imaging for physician interpretation and patient care. This role supports accurate diagnosis and treatment by maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, image quality, and efficient workflow. This position requires the use of independent judgment, critical thinking, and technical expertise to apply appropriate imaging techniques and optimize imaging results. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures, verifying accurate patient identification, and confirming that all studies are appropriately ordered prior to examination. All procedures are performed in alignment with Tampa General Hospitals' mission, vision, values, policies, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Education Technical Program Radiologic Technology or Associate's Degree Imaging related field such as Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State General Radiographer, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiation Therapy Technologist Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R - Radiography) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Nuclear Medicine) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRt) (Radiation Therapy) Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
