Department: 02401 WFBMG University Group Practice: High Point Westwood - Surgery: General Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Pay Range: $21.85 - $32.80 We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Scheduling & Registration Coordinator to support our Imaging Services team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal departments while ensuring a seamless scheduling and registration experience. Position Summary The Patient Scheduling & Registration Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outpatient imaging appointments, registering patients, reviewing and processing physician orders, collecting payments, and providing exceptional customer service. This role plays a vital part in supporting efficient departmental operations and delivering a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Schedule outpatient imaging procedures and coordinate appointments with appropriate resources. Register patients prior to imaging services and ensure all demographic and insurance information is accurate. Review physician orders for completeness and clarity. Maintain and update patient and procedure information in electronic systems. Collect and accurately process patient payments. Provide prompt, professional, and courteous assistance to patients, physicians, and staff. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient scheduling and patient flow. Maintain knowledge of departmental equipment, processes, and procedures. Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through effective communication and collaboration. Qualifications Required Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Experience with computer data entry and standard office equipment. Previous scheduling, registration, customer service, or healthcare support experience preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling systems preferred.
