Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all incoming, in-process, and finished custom fasteners and precision machined components meet customer specifications, dimensional tolerances, and applicable industry quality standards. This role focuses on hands-on dimensional inspection, thread verification, and the use of precision measurement tools in a fast-paced job shop environment with a strong emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and traceability.
Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional inspections on machined components to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect threads, pitch, and fit using Go/No-Go gauges and other precision measurement tools.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, optical measurement systems, and other gauges to validate critical dimensions and tolerances.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections across multiple production stages to ensure consistent product quality.
• Interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to confirm product accuracy.
• Document inspection results clearly and maintain accurate quality records and traceability for all inspected parts.
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.
• Support compliance with ISO and customer-specific quality requirements through proper inspection practices and documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and evidence of compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods, documentation, and overall quality processes.
• Support both production floor and office functions by providing timely inspection feedback and quality documentation.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on assemblies and components to identify defects or deviations.
• Follow established document control procedures to ensure quality records are accurate, current, and properly stored.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of quality control or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on dimensional inspection experience with precision measurement and tight tolerances.
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, Go/No-Go gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements accurately.
• Experience conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• ISO certification experience, including exposure to ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system.
• Strong documentation skills, including maintaining inspection records and traceability.
• Experience with visual inspection and quality checks in a production setting.
• Familiarity with general manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Ability to diagnose quality issues and support corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment
This position is based in a fast-paced job shop manufacturing environment that supports both production floor and office activities. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role is highly hands-on, requiring frequent movement between inspection stations and production areas to perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and documentation. You will regularly use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, Go/No-Go gauges, and optical measurement systems, and you will work closely with production, engineering, and quality team members. The environment emphasizes precision, traceability, and adherence to ISO and customer-specific quality standards, with a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and audit readiness.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
