School Psychologist in Dover, DE

Job Description

This contract position is perfect for dedicated School Psychologists looking to contribute their expertise on-site and support students’ academic, emotional, and social success.

Key Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
Previous school-based experience preferred, though not required
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
Strong commitment to fostering positive learning environments and student well-being
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Core Responsibilities:

Administer and interpret assessments to identify students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges
Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) processes
Offer crisis intervention support when needed and contribute to critical incident response
Conduct staff development sessions to promote understanding of students’ psychological needs
Maintain thorough, confidential documentation and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines
