Location: Rockford, IL
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate : $24/hr

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Rockford, IL.

Responsibilities:
• Greet and room patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Record patient vitals and medical information accurately
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and assist with lab procedures
• Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as needed
• Perform Point of Care Testing as required
• Assist with EKG testing when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (preferably Athena EMR)
• Support daily clinic operations and collaborate with healthcare staff
• Collect patient fees and assist with front desk support duties

Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR experience required
• Recent experience with rooming patients, vitals, and scheduling required
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
• EKG testing experience preferred
• Point of Care Testing experience preferred
• BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
