Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Evening/Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Evening Shifts: 11 PM - 11 AM or 3 PM - 3 AM

Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM

Every other weekend and holiday requirement

The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medication, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Assess and triage patients presenting with a variety of conditions including chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric issues, acute mental status changes, strokes, and trauma.

Administer medications and manage intravenous drips, including Propofol, Levophed, Heparin, Nitro, Insulin, and Cardizem.

Collaborate with attending physicians and the hospitalist team for patient care management.

Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record system.

Current RN licensure in good standing.

ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.

Prior experience in an Emergency Department preferred.
