Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2139.12 Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work in a 32-bed Progressive Care Unit (4IC) providing care for post-catheterization patients • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-6 depending on acuity • Care techs available on unit with approximately 1:15 ratio • Titrate drips including all drips except pressors, paralytics, and TPA • Manage sheaths and TR bands; TAVR experience preferred • Ability to care for chest tubes as unit serves as overflow for adjacent unit • Care for medical population requiring telemetry monitoring • Read telemetry strips once per shift and as needed for changes in rhythm; centralized tele monitoring available • Work with CPAP, BiPap, and high flow oxygen equipment; respiratory therapy available in-house to assist with rate settings • Self-scheduling with adjustments made to maintain a balanced schedule • 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period • Holiday requirements: 2 summer and 3 winter holidays • No on-call or standby requirement • Floating to other floors may be required • Scrub color: Galaxy Blue • 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks • Charting system: EPIC • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS • BSN not required • Acute care setting Facility: This acute care facility features a dedicated Progressive Care Unit specializing in post-catheterization patients and telemetry monitoring.
