The Assistant Branch Manager partners in responsibility with the Branch Manager for safety management, advancing sales activity at the branch, staff development and retention , facility maintenance, and the overall sound stewardship of branch resources. This includes fostering alignment with all regulatory agencies and requirements, such as OSHA, FDA, and Airgas USA, LLC policies and procedures (including SOPs) at the facility. When the Branch Manager is off-site, the Assistant Branch Manager will offer support and guidance to the branch personnel, including Counter Sales Representatives and administration.Supports the daily coordination of the day-to-day operations of the retail store including compliance, retail sales, warehousing and distribution.Guides and balances the daily schedule of the branch location.Participates in the development and execution of marketing plans to support the penetration of key market segments in collaboration with our Sales and Operations teams and outside vendors.Coordinates sales promotional activities, merchandising and displ aysCollaborates with outside sales to ensure order accuracy and properly scheduled customer deliveries.Cares for branch inventory, daily hard goods inventory cycle counts and maintain showroom and warehouse appearance.Organizes all hard goods receiving and all dynamic deployment (hard goods inter-branch orders) for completion in a timely and daily manner.Reviews safety events to recommend improvements and eliminate recurrences.Build and nurture customer relationships , providing excellent service.Assist customers with product selection and technical support.Support accurate order processing and coordinate timely product delivery.Build alignment and resolve customer concerns while providing excellent customer care.Maintain store operations and support merchandising efforts.Partners with the Branch Manager on coaching the team and maintaining a functional, welcoming facility.________________________Are you a MATCH?Required Qualifications :Comfort or experience with Microsoft/Google Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Capability to safely move items up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.Ideally, you bring about three (3) or more years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service and/or inventory control related position.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in related field.Knowledge of SAP is considered a valuable addition to the team.________________________BenefitsWe care about and support our Airgas Families.
