Electromechanical Plant Maintenance Specialist (Level 3/4)

Where: Richmond, VA
Pay: $31.87–$37.26 per hour + excellent benefits
Hours: Four 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) with early AM and early PM start windows

Core responsibilities

• Safety first: Follow all safety procedures, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe workplace.
• Preventative maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs and inspections to extend asset life and prevent failures.
• Rapid troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively.
• Operations partnership: Collaborate with production to support OEE and throughput targets.
• Recordkeeping: Document inspections, repairs, and PM tasks with accuracy and completeness.
• Teamwork: Coordinate with technicians and cross-functional partners; provide technical support as needed.
• Mentorship: Train junior technicians to elevate team performance.
• Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles.
• Strong command of electrical troubleshooting; proficient with diagnostic and test equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, MSPs, and other automation components.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Capable of operating support equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts).
• Excellent communication; team-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced setting.
• Physically able to perform job duties.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
