Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Project Architect at our Dallas, TX office. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for the following project types: private aviation terminals, offices, labs, parking garages, airport terminals, non-military operations centers, readiness centers, manufacturing facilities, hangars, interiors renovations, master plans, fire stations, emergency operations centers, rental car facilities, maintenance facilities, and other projects as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members
• Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners
• Assisting the Project Manager with pursuing projects
• Coordinating and leading project teams
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Developing and executing project workplans
• Mentoring younger technical staff
• Scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings
• Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
• Other tasks as assigned.

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
• At least 6 years of relevant project experience
• Current architectural license and ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed

A valid driver's license and approximately 25% travel will be required.

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

• Experience leading architectural teams through each stage of project development for aviation and federal facilities
• Experience interfacing with clients and stakeholders
• Experience mentoring younger technical staff
• Experience leading architectural teams through bidding and construction administration phase services for aviation facilities
• LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
• NCARB Certified
• Business development experience – seeking out and following through on new project opportunities in coordination with a team
• Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.
