Role Description The Store Manager role at Dollar General in Mount Vernon, OH is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily store operations. This includes leading and developing store associates, managing merchandising and inventory, and ensuring the store environment is clean, safe, and welcoming. The Store Manager monitors sales performance, controls expenses, and implements retail loss prevention practices to achieve financial goals. The role also involves delivering excellent customer service, resolving customer concerns, and maintaining high standards of store presentation. The Store Manager partners with district leadership, ensures compliance with company policies, and fosters a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Qualifications Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a commitment to creating positive shopping experiences. Store Management capabilities, including supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, and executing merchandising and inventory processes. Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and leadership. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to help protect company assets and minimize shrink. Proven leadership experience in retail or a related field, including coaching, performance management, and team development. Ability to analyze sales reports, manage budgets, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or retail management is beneficial.
