The Client Technologies Technician Advanced will manage the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management environment, deploying software and patch management in accordance with agency and IT Services policy and procedures. The role is responsible for deploying Microsoft Windows operating systems and patches, Microsoft Office Suite and patches, and other agency software to maintain compliance with licenses and agency policies, including DELL and other hardware patches to production servers, endpoints, and hardware accessories. The technician will provide reports on software deployment status, versions, and patch levels, monitor Microsoft AppLocker settings and logs, and maintain open communication with the Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems regarding the MECM environment and software deployment needs.

• Manage the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management environment, including Microsoft Best Practices while deploying software and patch management in accordance with agency and IT Services policy and procedures.

• Deploy Microsoft Windows operating system and patches, Microsoft Office Suite and patches, as well as other agency software as needed to maintain compliance with licenses and agency policies.

• Deploy DELL and other hardware patches to production servers, endpoints, and hardware accessories as needed to maintain compliance with licenses and agency policies.

• Provide reports on the status of software deployments, versions, and patch levels for all servers, desktops, laptops, and tablets.

• Monitor Microsoft AppLocker settings and logs and recommend settings on servers and endpoints.

• Maintain open communication with Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems concerning the Microsoft MECM environment and software deployment needs.

• Monitor Cloud Management Gateway.

• Assist with upgrading software on servers and endpoint devices to maintain compliance with vendor software life cycle, hardware life cycle, and schedule upgrades to software.

• Perform other related duties as required.
  Monthly Responsibilities

• Observe and check on available hardware and software patches from DELL, Microsoft, and Recast for monthly patch management of servers, endpoints, and hardware accessories.

• Attend Endpoint Technician meeting each month.

1. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM)

2. 3+ years of experience packaging software for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) distribution to Windows Client using Bare Metal and Software Center

3. 3+ years of experience with hardware and software patch management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and DELL Client System Inventory Agent

4. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell

5. 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Active Directory
