Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description:Kidney Specialist of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) is seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is focused on test understanding, management, and optimization within our laboratory platform. This role combines clinical expertise with technology integration to ensure accurate test interpretation, quality assurance, and seamless laboratory operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Test Management & UnderstandingAnalyze and interpret complex laboratory test results across multiple disciplines including clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnosticsDevelop and maintain comprehensive test protocols, procedures, and documentation within the platformCollaborate with healthcare providers to clarify test orders, results interpretation, and clinical significanceMonitor test performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvementEnsure compliance with clinical laboratory standards and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, FDA)Platform OperationsManage laboratory information system (LIS) functionality and troubleshoot technical issuesConfigure and validate new tests and assays within the platformMaintain accurate test catalogs, reference ranges, and clinical decision support toolsPerform quality control review and validation of automated resultsGenerate and analyze quality assurance reports and metricsClinical Support & CommunicationProvide expert consultation on test selection, interpretation, and clinical utilityConduct virtual training sessions for laboratory staff and healthcare providersParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions via video conferenceRespond to critical value notifications and communicate urgent results to cliniciansSupport customer service inquiries related to laboratory testingQuality Assurance & ComplianceReview and approve laboratory policies, procedures, and protocolsConduct virtual audits and assessments of laboratory processesInvestigate and resolve testing discrepancies and quality issuesMaintain proficiency testing programs and competency assessmentsEnsure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standardsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certifying agency.Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a laboratory.Proficiency in laboratory techniques including blood sampling, specimen collection processing, and clinical laboratory practices.We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about contributing to patient care through accurate laboratory testing to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. #J-18808-Ljbffr
