Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse (MS) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing comprehensive care in a high-acuity neuro unit focusing on spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, amputees, burns, pediatric cases, and multi-trauma patients. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex patient needs with a focus on trauma and neurological conditions.

Job Details

• Position Description: Providing specialized nursing care for patients with neurological and trauma-related diagnoses, including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, burns, and pediatric cases within a dedicated Neuro MS unit.
• Required Qualifications: Valid medical license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Experience with trach care, ventilators, bipaps, cpaps, IVs, PICC, central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, drains/tubes, pulmonary patients with trachs, laryngectomies, G-tube/Peg-tube feeding.
• Schedule: Days and nights shifts available, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 11/23/2026 and ending on 02/20/2027.
• Additional Information: The unit maintains a 1:6-7 patient ratio, with frequent float requirements within scope of practice. Orientation is conducted online and in-person, with standard unit cultures and expectations. Staff are held to the same standards as permanent staff and are expected to work some holidays and participate in weekend rotations.
