Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Machinist I candidates to support CNC machining operations for a leading manufacturing facility in Lexington, SC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and conventional machining equipment while ensuring high-quality production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $25

Shift: 1st Shift | Overtime as Required

Key Responsibilities:

-Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipment
-Complete machine setup including fixturing, work offsets, tool building, and tool setting
-Load, interpret, and troubleshoot M & G codes and CNC programs
-Proof programs and make machine adjustments as needed during production
-Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions
-Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and other measuring equipment
-Identify tooling, inserts, and adjustments needed for production changeovers
-Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to ensure part quality and productivity
-Record productivity data and complete first article inspections
-Work collaboratively with engineering, supervisors, and production teams to resolve floor-level issues
-Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or GED required
-3+ years of machining experience preferred
-Associate degree in a related field may substitute for experience
-Experience in precision manufacturing environments preferred
-Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC mills or lathes
-Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
-Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to stand for extended periods
