About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Amherst and Milford NH. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children aged 12 to 36 months. You will design age-appropriate activities, manage daily classroom routines, and build strong partnerships with families to support each child's unique development.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily classroom routines including meals, rest time, diapering, and toilet training
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment that meets state licensing regulations
• Observe and document each child’s developmental milestones and progress
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s daily activities and growth
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure their safety at all times

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate child centered activities and learning experiences that engage children

Requirements

Minimum of 18 credits in Early Childhood Education

• Successful completion of New Hampshire state background check and FBI fingerprinting
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, and safely lift children weighing 20 to 40 pounds
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications, or a willingness to obtain them upon hire
• Dedication to completing annual professional development hours as required by state regulations

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field

Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool environment

About Us

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
