Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: Up to $24.30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Contract: Through December, with potential for permanent employment

About the Opportunity

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support an outpatient clinical team in Sun City Center, FL.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Medical Assistant who is comfortable providing hands-on clinical support, assisting with patient flow, documenting care accurately, and working within established clinical protocols.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical fundamentals, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced patient-care environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform Medical Assistant duties within the appropriate scope of practice.

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations according to established policies and procedures.

• Obtain and document patient information accurately and efficiently.

• Perform EKGs and operate diagnostic equipment within established guidelines.

• Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary techniques .

• Perform non-invasive specimen collection and obtain cultures as directed.

• Administer non-intravenous medications within the scope of practice and applicable protocols.

• Change wound dressings and remove staples from superficial wounds as directed.

• Perform quality-control checks on clinical equipment.

• Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using an autoclave .

• Accurately document patient care and clinical activities in the medical record in a timely manner.

• Coordinate patient care as directed by providers, organizational standards, and established policies.

• Support and follow the organization's Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) .

• Provide professional, compassionate customer service to patients throughout their visit.

• Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, documentation, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification , or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

• Candidates hired prior to completing certification must be able to perform at the expected level of a Medical Assistant.

• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills .

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.30 per hour
